The challenge
Corus Dental created Bright, a dental veneer system built around a digital workflow. Dentists needed a way to show patients what their new smile could look like during the consultation — a visual, interactive proposal instead of an abstract explanation — and Corus needed to control who can use the tool.
What I did
- Architecture and project lead. Defined the architecture of the app and the admin platform, planned timelines and milestones, and coordinated the work with the product designer from mockups to release.
- Native iOS app (iPhone and iPad). Built with Swift and Objective-C: license-based sign-in, a guided photo capture flow (close-ups of the central teeth) and an interactive simulation of the proposed smile, which the dentist can send with the simulation and centre details.
- Admin panel. A Node.js + Express API with a React back office where Corus manages users and licenses — who can access the app and for how long.
- Store releases. Builds and App Store submissions for iPhone and iPad.
Result
A sales and consultation tool that turns a smile-design concept into something the patient can see on the spot, with access controlled centrally through licenses. The app is published under the Saludtec developer account.
